GEORGIA RADIO - The holidays are behind us, and Georgia Radio is roaring into 2025 with a full slate of live events, new programming, and all your favorite shows. The first live event of the new year is sure to warm your heart and tickle your funny bone—the inaugural Georgia Folk & Farm Life / GeorgiaRadio.com Storytelling Festival featuring the "Oracle of the South" himself, Wade Peebles.
Wade, a familiar voice on Georgia Radio, is best known for his wildly popular Facebook group Georgia Folk & Farm Life, where over 94,000 members gather to share stories and celebrate the best of Southern culture. His daily tales are a mix of humor, wisdom, and nostalgia, making him a perfect headliner for this homespun storytelling event.

The festival, titled Story Time with Uncle Wade, takes place on January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET at New Beginnings in Christ in Garfield, Georgia. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry—two episodes featuring highlights from the event will be broadcast later this year on GeorgiaRadio.com.
But that’s not all that’s new for Georgia Radio in 2025! This year, we’re launching two new shows showcasing local talent, ensuring even more of the voices you love are on the air. We’re also keeping you informed with hourly updates from USA Radio News at the top of each hour.
Fan favorites are also back in full swing. Matt Jolley’s Classic Country & Request Show airs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET, while Cindy Baucom’s Knee Deep in Bluegrass returns on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET. Don’t miss Cindy’s special Bluegrass Gospel show on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. ET for the perfect way to start your week.

And if you haven’t downloaded the new "My Georgia Radio" app yet, now’s the time! It’s free, easy to use, and works seamlessly in your car, truck, or tractor. With notifications and email signups, you’ll never miss a beat from Georgia Radio.
So here’s to a fresh new year filled with good stories, great music, and the best of Georgia. Happy New Year from all of us at Georgia Radio!
PS...we really do broadcast from a barn, and during the recent snow storm -- we kept going! Thanks again for all the support.
